The LUISA (Land Use Intensity’s Potential, Vulnerability, and Resilience for Sustainable Agriculture in Africa) project is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and pastoralists throughout Africa.
The project is funded by Esa and is led by UNIVERSITY OF TWENTE (NL), with the objective of developing and implementing new methods, effectively linking and integrating modelling, satellite EO products (Sentinels, Explorers, Meteo missions, ESA-CCI) and dataset with in-situ, stakeholder-generated, social-economic data to advance the estimation of continental Africa potential, vulnerability and resilience for a sustainable agriculture.
ReMedia had the unique chance to support the project communication, by developing the official LUISA project website, in close collaboration with the LUISA project team, GISAT, and ESA. This partnership was marked by open communication, shared goals, and a strong mutual understanding, resulting in a web platform that effectively supports the project’s goals by engaging a wide range of users.
